Stocks, shares and equities are terms that refer to the same asset. They express the ownership of the trader or investor in a particular company. The terms are used interchangeably, but there are some technical differences. Equity is referred to the total ownership in the company after the payment of any debt, while a share/stock is referred to a single unit of ownership.
There are two main stocks trading methods: active trading and day trading. The active trader is an investor who opens more than 10 trades per month. They use a strategy that relies on the event that happens in the market and take advantage of them in real time. Day trading is the strategy which consists of opening and closing the trades in a single day. It cares less for the inner issues of the company, it is focused in the dynamic of the market as a whole.
